DIVE INSTRUCTION NOW AVAILABLE:

Chad Campbell, Instructor

June 25, 2006
Learn to spear fish before classes start in August!

Train with the best: Chad Campbell, Suncoast Dive Center!
5304 Seminole Blvd

St Petersburg, Fl 33708
320-0201 or call my cell 543-5569
During the course of the year, the bulk of our instruction comes from those not of our choosing, mostly well meaning middle aged adults, who attempt to relate the subject matter at hand on what they feel is a contemporary level.  Unfortunately, the sand has already slipped through the hour glass.  Would you hand any of your high school teachers a loaded spear gun? I wouldn't either.  I was certified and taught the basics of spear fishing by Chad Campbell.  As background Chad is a graduate of Keswick High School and a life long resident of St. Petersburg, his age hovers somewhere around 30, which puts him somewhere close to the edge but not quite.  Chad has opened a new shop...address above...call him about rates for individual or group lessons.  Have fun.

Instruction

Chad Campbell  Being a Florida native, I grew up on the waters of Tampa Bay.  I have been diving for over 20 years in the Gulf of Mexico.  I am a certified SSI scuba instructor and have a masters captains license.  Growing up here I attended Azalea elementary and then went on to Keswick high school; where they actually let me graduate.  After that I attended St Pete JC for 2 years and decided that I would rather be on the water all of the time.  That is when I started taking people on fishing charters ;  but due to weather I needed to find something else to do to occupy my free time.  That is when I walked into Jims Dive Shop.  I had been going to Jims for years because of the friendly staff and I was always treated like a person there.  Jim asked me if I would come and work for him if the wind was not blowing and of course that is where I wound up.  Jim had known my family for along time and had always treated us like his.  Then I became an instructor in 2000.  My extensive diving background has helped me to teach others about the wonderful other world that lies beneath us.  It has to be the best thing in the world; well at least to me; you never know what you will see under the water.  The most exciting is seeing the sea life that exists in the gulf and all around the world.  I was introduced to diving when I was 10 years old and was diving just about on every weekend and it has never gotten old.
